Have you ever been so hungry but you're like "ugh, I don't feel like preparing a huge meal" or "ugh, I haven't gone grocery shopping and we have nothing!" or "ugh, nothing I make tastes good!"
Well I have. Pretty much every day. So what do I do? I end up eating junk, snacking on whatever I can find, or something going out to get something that's fast and easy. Read More
Do you ever discover brands and then become completely obsessed and you know you just have to have everything (or at least one or two things) and then once you buy something you're not obsessing over it anymore?
No? Just me? Read More
It's my second mother's day, and I'm so excited! Last year Jesse woke up early and made me a huge feast for breakfast (see the post here). The year before that we still celebrated because I was pregnant, and I bought myself this bag (because I needed an excuse). Ha!
This year, I treated myself to some goodies (some of which are in this guide). Jesse got the day off work, too, so I'm excited to be able to spend the entire day together as a family. Read More
"Great minds start little." That's Baby Einstein's philosophy, and it's so true. Our babes, from the time they're born, are sponges, soaking up every little thing they see and hear and taste and touch.
That's why we love the 3-in-1 Snack and Discover Seat by Baby Einstein (available at Babies R Us), because it encourages baby to reach developmental milestones like sitting up, snacking, and sitting with family at the table, as well as encourages learning, laughing, and family moments. There are 3 parts to the seat: Support Seat for the floor, Snack and Activity Seat with tray for the floor, and Chair Top Booster Seat strapped to a chair. It's super easy to move from one place to another around the house, and there's a soft and removable foam material on the seat which adds comfort and makes it easy to clean. Read More
You know when you find a shop and you just have to have everything in it?
Yeah, that's Fernweh Home. From the triangle shelves to the hanging nighstands, everything has me drooling. And! It's all made from reclaimed wood. Pictured here is the hanging nightstand and I love it even more than I thought I would. We only got one for now but we're planning to get another for the other side.
We thought it might be too much with the hanging lights and hanging banner, but the hanging nightstand makes the area look clean and ties it all together perfectly. Read More
Swell & Solis is a children's brand based in Australia, and we are in love with everything they make. Pictured here is the Dune Romper in baby pink. It's a little big on her so I twisted the straps in the back to make them shorter. I love that it can work in the winter with a long sleeve shirt under, and I cannot wait for her to wear it in the summer to show off those cute toddler legs and back. We also got the White Periwinkle Pinafore, which will look adorable for the summer as well, it's a little too big now. Read More
I love love love finding small boutiques with unique items, and Thistle & Finn is just that. You can't find what they carry anywhere else.
In the photos below I put together three different outfits featuring three of their pieces. Read More
Happy 1st birthday to our little Ever Joy!
This party, though a lot of work, was so much fun to plan. I've never planned a birthday party before, and the last event I planned was our wedding, soo I was a little rusty. And I totally thought it was going to be a disaster, but it all worked out! Thanks to my list making skills and my amazing mom for helping. Read More
Oh boy, was it chilly in Utah. I've already climatized to California weather, so we were freezing, even though it really wasn't that cold.
We had some time before travelling to my granparents' house for thanksgiving, so we threw on our Kortni Jeane swimsuits and went for a swim in my parents' tub. Read More
Baby Mori is a luxury essentials brand with the softest fabric I have ever felt in my life. Not even exaggerating. The fabric feels like butter and I find myself wishing they made adult sizes.
Shown here is the front opening sleepsuit in white and you can see the Mori Muslins as part of Ever's fort. Read More

You choose from 6 or 12 smoothies weekly, or 24 smoothies monthly, with the option to skip at any time. No commitments. The smoothies are developed by nutritionists, with ORGANIC ingredients that are seriously amazing. At first, I was like, "how do they stay frozen en route to my doorstep?" The answer is dry ice. So you simply transfer them from the box to the freezer and dispose of the box quickly before your baby touches it.
These smoothies are so good AND you can use the code letterstoever to get 3 free smoothies with your first order! Read More
You're never too young to start playing dress up. Or too young to play with dolls.
What is it about dolls that draw little girls to them, no matter how old they are? As soon as I opened the box full of Ever's new Shimmer & Shine toys from Kohls, she got so excited and kept playing with the dolls still inside their packaging. It was the cutest thing. And then when I pulled out the music playing microphone, that was a whole different level of excitement.
You can find her Dress-Up Trunk here, the microphone here, and the dolls here + here. Read More
A random sunday afternoon, and we decided to head to LA to our favorite museum: The Getty. We got there at 5 (they close at 5:30), just long enough to wander around outside and take some pictures. Such is our life. Late everywhere, but we always manage to get a million pictures somehow. Read More
This past week while we were sick we took multiple baths every day. Because for some reason when you're sick, that's all you want to do. And it felt so good. When Ever was asleep I would sneak in a solo bath too with hot hot water just how I like it. Once we tried putting lavender essential oil in our bath before bedtime to help relax us. And when I took my solo bath I put some eucalyptus oil to help open up my sinuses. Read More

Pink Blush is well-known as a maternity boutique, but many don't know that they carry non-maternity as well! Also, most things can actually work for both maternity and non maternity. There are so many unique-to-the-brand pieces that you won't find anything else. I was asked to choose three pieces to style, and it was such a hard choice! But I narrowed it down to these three:
Olive Bamboo Lace-Up Back Dress
My husband picked this one, and I loved the color of this dress, it will transition perfectly from summer to fall. It's so comfy, and I love that I can just throw it on without much thought for accessorizing. The color and fabric is perfection, and the back detail is just the cherry on top. Read More
Love Winnie James is an online boutique carrying women and children's apparel. They carry the cutest and trendiest styles, including this amazing floral dress. When I saw this dress it reminded me of gloomy beach days, so naturally we had to take some photos on the beach. I love the floral pattern, the low neck for easy nursing, and that it's so flow and flattering. It's also easy to dress up or dress down. I also got Ever these little oxfords, and they're our new favorite shoes. Read More
I gained 37 pounds during pregnancy. Which, I understand, is not a ton, but it was 37 pounds that my body was not used to. I felt huge. I felt tired. I felt slow. And most of all, I felt ugly. And then the stretch marks came because of that extra weight (plus my uterus apparently is suuuuper forward. I was huge. And had a 6lb baby), and I was devastated. All over my belly, my inner thighs, hips, boobs, you name it. I honestly thought I would never be happy with my body ever again. I looked up pictures online of women's bellies with stretch marks postpartum and cried thinking of what mine would look like. Then I looked up pictures of women with stretch marks that had six packs and felt even more discouraged because I have too much of a sweet tooth to ever look like that. So I thought my bikini wearing days were over. Read More
We started solids with Ever shortly after she turned six months old. She was obviously ready. She had been grabbing at our food and watching us eat and drink with awe for quite some time, but we wanted to wait until six months anyway.
I've quite enjoyed the benefits of exclusively breastfeeding for the past six months (such as weight loss, and natural birth control, to name a couple ;)), and breastmilk will continue to be her main source of calories/food. Beginning solids is simply a way of teaching a baby how to eat like a human, getting them used to different flavors and textures. Read More
Mom life. The hardest and best job I've ever had. And even though it's 24/7, I never get a break, and I'm highly underpaid, it's so worth it. This shirt by To: Little Arrows sums it up perfectly. "So cool. So crazy. So worth it. Mom life." Read More
